I think this is unfair, and disrespectful to the memory of the 11 UNRWA workers who have been killed in Gaza as they try to shelter civilians from Israeli attacks, which seem to have been deliberately targeting UN facilities.
The secretary general and a number of UN bodies have also condemned the Israeli attacks in the strongest terms.
The UN hasn't taken any concrete action to prevent the massacre, but that's because to do so would require a security council resolution, which everyone knows the US government would veto due to their unconditional support for Israeli aggression. The US has vetoed 42 resolutions critical of Israel since the occupation began in 1967.
Though to add to my first comment, if the post wasn't meant to be a particular reference to current events Gaza then I would agree with you. I don't believe that allegiance to 'nations', however 'united' they claim to be, is a way to peace, the UN has the capacity to authorise war and has done so in the past, and the guy in the picture certainly doesn't look very peaceful!
